About the panellists:
Ms Sadhana Rai (Law ‘12)
Chief Representation Officer, Pro Bono SG
Sadhana is the Chief Representation Officer of Pro Bono SG. She leads PBSG’s legal
practice, ensuring the highest standards of excellence, accountability, and innovation in
service delivery. She oversees practice standards, professional development, and
performance monitoring while strengthening PBSG’s reputation as a leader in
community law. She leads a team of in-house community lawyers and officers to
provide timely pro bono legal assistance for the socially excluded through its legal aid
schemes for criminal, family justice, and other community law matters. Previously a
commercial litigator, Sadhana committed herself to pro bono work by joining Pro Bono
SG in 2015.
Ms Sum Kun Shan (Engineering ‘07)
Energy Transition, Climate & ESG Strategist;
President, NUS Chemical Engineering Alumni Committee; Chevenin Scholar
Kun Shan is an energy transition strategist and sustainability advisor with experience
spanning government, industry, and infrastructure. A graduate of NUS and Imperial
College London, she brings a global perspective and track record of leading bold,
cross-sector initiatives in energy, carbon markets, and regional connectivity to tackle
climate change. Previously with Energy Market Authority and Enterprise Singapore,
Kun Shan has also worked on transformative projects including UK’s White Rose
Carbon Capture and Storage and SunCable’s Australia-Asia PowerLink, powering
Singapore with Australia’s sunshine. As President of NUS’ Chemical Engineering
Alumni Committee, she is passionate about talent development and empowerment.
Dr Jackie Tan (Science + USP ’12)
Co-founder & CEO, BorderDollar
Affectionately known as a "Jackie of all trades" for living many lives, Jackie is a 4-time
tech startup founder with 2 successful exits, and was recognised in Forbes 30 Under
30 and the Gen.T list. He completed his undergraduate studies in Life Sciences and the
University Scholars Programme at the National University of Singapore (Class of
2012). He also holds a PhD in Life Sciences from Nanyang Technological University.
Currently on a career break, he is focused on personal growth and playing video
games. Beyond entrepreneurship, he is passionate about mentoring and sharing
insights with the next generation of professionals.
Mr Sebastian Wynter Bryan
Deputy Director, (Alumni Relations & Community Engagement), NUS Student Union
Sebastian is the Deputy Director of Alumni Relations and Community Engagement
(ARCEU) in the 46th NUSSU EXCO, where he drives initiatives that connect NUS
students with alumni and the wider community. Guided by his passion for building
meaningful relationships, he organised poll a dialogue with the Minister for National
Development to address housing concerns among young couples— a platform that
empowered students to voice their questions directly. He also organised Trek &
Connect, a trekking event that brought students together with alumni holding senior
leadership roles, creating a unique space for candid conversations and mentorship in
an informal setting. Through these experiences, Sebastian channels his commitment to
purposeful engagement into action, strengthening community ties and championing
student-alumni collaboration.
