2010 Global Forum for College Students

Co-organized by  the  Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and  the  Shanghai Youth Federation, the 2010 Global Forum for College Students will be held in Shanghai from 15 to 22 July 2010.

Seize this opportunity to interact with other students from world-class universities to better interpret the Expo slogan “Better City•Better Life” through a series of enriching experiences and an exchange of thoughts between the East and the West.

AcquaSummer 2010

This is an exciting 6-week summer program organized by Tec de Monterrey’s Campus Querétaro from May 26th to July 7th. In conjunction with the bicentennial celebration of the Mexican fight for independence, the 2010 summer program will merge the historical importance of the year 2010 with lots of fun, excitement and learning!

APRU Undergraduate Summer Program 2010 at NUS

National University of Singapore will host the 5th APRU Undergraduate Summer Program for a period of two weeks, from July 5 to 16, 2010, centered on the theme “Rising to New Challenges – Impactful Leadership in the 21st Century."

Two undergraduate students will have the opportunity to represent NUS for this two-week program tackling leadership challenges and pressing global issues.

Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) International Summer School

Enrich your vacation by participating in the CUHK Summer School from 28 June to 2 August 2010. This programme provides an exciting opportunity for students from around the globe to pursue an academically challenging and culturally stimulating summer experience in Hong Kong.

Grenoble Institute of Technology (Grenoble INP) Summer Program 2010

The four-week Summer Program offered by Grenoble INP runs from 7 June to 2 July 2010. Participants will have the opportunity to meet students from all over the world and learn from distinguished professors. The Summer Program offers an exciting opportunity for students to participate in an intercultural study group and have a special taste of the French way of life. Students will choose from one of two main subjects to study – Nanotechnologies or Image & Signal Processing for Geoscience and Remote Sensing.

International Summer Programme at the University of Ulm

The 14th International Summer Program at the University of Ulm will be held from
1 June – 29 July 2010. Students will take part in an intensive German language course as well as a course in practical Physics training, and will have the chance to take part in trips to the scenic Swabian Highlands and see Germany's beautiful castles.

As the German summer semester overlaps with the period of this summer school, participating students will have the chance to make friends with local students and exchange students from all over the world.

NUS Summer Programme on Economic and Enterprise Development in Singapore 2010

NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (NEC) will be organizing the 5th Summer Programme from 11- 24 July 2010. Participation in this 2-week programme is open to all undergraduate students from universities in various parts of the world.

The program provides an excellent opportunity for participants to learn about Singapore: how the smallest nation in Southeast Asia has progressed into a modern city-state and has grown into a thriving centre of commerce and industry. Participants will also get to experience the culture, interact with locals, understand how public policies are formulated, and gain insights on business practices in Singapore.

NUS-Wuhan University Summer Programme

Jointly offered by NUS and Wuhan University from 24 May to 17 June 2010, this programme is structured on an intensive basis that aims to provide a general understanding of China by focusing on topical aspects of both historical and contemporary China. Topics that will be discussed include Chinese cultural traditions, the Chinese world order, the Chinese economy and environmental issues.

Other highlights include educational visits to local corporations, sites of historical interest, Singapore-China Suzhou Industrial Park as well as the Shanghai Expo.

Peking University Summer School International

Peking University is offering its enriching summer programme to international students (non-Chinese nationals) from 5 to 30 July 2010.

An array of courses covering issues related to China's politics, economy, environment and culture as well as a Chinese Language course will be offered. Students will also get to experience Chinese customs and culture through visits to selected historical and cultural sites in Beijing.

Summer Programme at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich - “Approaching the European Union”

The Munich International Summer University will be held from 31 May to 22 June 2010. Students will take part in an intensive course on the European Union. The programme is entitled “Approaching the European Union” and will give students an opportunity to learn about the European Union and its relations with the world. Students will be brought on exciting excursions to the beautiful city of Salzburg in Austria, as well as to the German capital, Berlin.

Sun Yat-Sen University International Summer Programme in Chinese Studies

Sun Yat-Sen University, originally known as Guangdong University, was founded in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, a prominent democratic revolutionary leader of the 20th century.

In 2010, SYSU will hold its exciting International Summer Program (ISP) from 5 to 30 July 2010. The contents of the summer program are linked to the historical, cultural, and business aspects of Pearl River Delta Area in the South of China where SYSU is located. This region is widely-known as the engine of the Chinese economy, and it is from here that China started to open its doors and undergo economic reform thirty years ago. Be a part of the programme to learn about China's phenomenal growth and learn about its culture!

University of Hong Kong Summer Institute (HKU)

HKU will be conducting its 5th "Asia as the Global Future" summer programme, which aims to enhance awareness of the Asia's importance in world affairs. Apart from attending inspiring lectures, students will also be exposed to key issues in Asian affairs through a series of field trips in Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, Hangzhou and Seoul from 20 June to 18 July 2010.

Universitas 21 Student Summer School 2010

The University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China is hosting the Universitas 21 (U21) Summer School from 5 - 15 July 2010. The theme this year is “Food Security: Global Politics, National Policies, Local Practices”.

Up to five students will have the opportunity to represent NUS for the two-week programme at this U21 Summer School in Ningbo, China.
