Arts and Culture

If you are looking to explore and express your creativity, engage with the arts, or simply to learn about different cultures, you’ll be spoilt for choice with our diverse range of performing arts groups, programmes, events, and activities. Join a student club, attend a workshop, visit the many exhibits or enjoy curated performances on campus – there’s something for everyone.

 

Sports

NUS is home to a vibrant sports community with numerous inter-university championships and national titles to our name. Whether you're looking to stay active, make new friends, or compete at a high level, NUS has plenty to offer – from team sports like football, basketball, and volleyball to individual sports like badminton, tennis, and swimming.

 

Community Engagement

We encourage you to create positive change in the wider community through volunteering, service learning, community outreach, and social entrepreneurship. In the process, acquire important skills such as leadership, communication, and teamwork, as well as a deeper understanding of social issues. Funding schemes are also available for students and student organisations to pursue worthy causes.

 

Campus Living

Living on NUS campus allows you to fully immerse in university life. On top of easy access to campus facilities like libraries, study spaces, and sports complexes, on-campus living also provides opportunities for you to form friendships and build a supportive community. Four residential options with access to diverse extracurricular activities – means plenty of opportunities to feel at home.

Libraries

NUS has eight libraries. The Central Library is our flagship and the largest, complete with a line-up of immersive technological tools and facilities including 360imx and the TEL Imaginarium, designed to stimulate education and research. But our other libraries are just as conducive and welcoming with a variety of spaces and resources to meet the diverse needs of our students.

 

Health and Wellness

The health and wellness of our students are important to us. That is why the NUS University Health Centre provides a range of healthcare services to support their physical and mental well-being. Beyond general medical consultations, health screenings, mental health support, and counselling services, students have direct access to designated Faculty Student Support Managers who can connect them to campus resources.

 

Food and Beverages

From local delicacies to international cuisine, students have no shortage of dining options and spaces on campus where they can socialise and connect with friends over a leisurely meal or grab a quick snack between classes. Did we also mention that it’s common to see our students engage in intellectual discourse with their teachers and friends at the outdoor seating areas and communal dining spaces?

 

Getting around NUS

There are several options for getting around the NUS campus: shuttle bus, cycling, public transportation, car and walking. Many students use a combination of these transportation methods depending on their needs and preferences.
