As part of its 120th anniversary celebrations, NUS is proud to launch the NUS120 Distinguished Speaker Series, kicking off with lectures by giants in the field of Artificial Intelligence.
In this lecture, Professor Yoshua Bengio, Professor of Computer Science at Université de Montreal and Founder and Scientific Advisor of Mila, will be speaking on the topic of “Scientist AI vs Superintelligent Agents”where he will be sharing how a Scientist AI system that is designed to explain the world from observations can be employed as a guardrail against unchecked AI agency which poses significant risks to public safety and security.
The talk will be followed by a fireside chat session moderated by Professor Simon Chesterman, NUS Vice Provost (Educational Innovation), Senior Director (AI Governance), AI Singapore, and Dean of NUS College. …...more
